Gratitude, Growth and New Beginnings: Closing Out 2025 Together

And here we are again. Every year, as we approach the final stretch, I find myself wondering how we arrived here so quickly. The world feels like it’s spinning faster with each passing season—full of disruption, heartache, discord, and an economy under strain. It’s a lot.

But even in all of this, it’s worth pausing to look back and take stock of the good. If we focus on the good, perhaps we really do invite more good in—so the law of attraction suggests. I certainly feel lighter when I place my energy into the spaces where I can make a difference, rather than all the noise beyond my control.

And while the world has felt heavy, there were wonderful bursts of joy around us too—our Springboks winning the World Cup, the Proteas winning the ICC World Test Championship and Bafana Bafana qualifying. There is always something to celebrate.

On a personal note, it was a truly special one. My youngest daughter got married and gained a wonderful husband. My eldest welcomed a beautiful baby girl, making me a very proud granny. These moments have filled my heart in ways I can’t quite describe.

Perhaps most meaningful of all: we made it to December 2025. That alone feels worthy of applause. It’s been a tough year, and I’ve seen the weariness in my team. Yet, they’ve shown up every day with commitment and care. They’ve weathered storms, lifted one another up, celebrated wins, learned from losses, and kept going—even when the going was far from easy. I am endlessly grateful for each of them. Our office is often filled with laughter, with support freely given and kindness shared. It’s a special place to work, and that’s because of the incredible people who fill it.

From a business perspective, we had our own milestones worth celebrating. Polyflor became Polysales—a bright, refreshed identity that continues an enduring family legacy. We also launched NovoCore, our new LVT range. We love our new look and feel energised by the opportunity to bring you more quality brands, thoughtful services, and a steadfast commitment to partnership. There is a lot to look forward to—watch this space.

In a world where reputation is everything, but genuine values and ethics often feel in short supply, I am deeply proud that we can hold our heads high. We remain honourable, trustworthy, and consistent in doing business with integrity. Thank you for placing your faith in us—for trusting us, partnering with us, and standing firmly in your choice. You are truly valued, and we look forward to building even stronger relationships ahead.

Now, it’s time to step off the hamster wheel. To pause, breathe deeply, rest, reconnect, and make room for joy. To soak up time with the people who matter most. To reflect, reset, and simply be.
